Rurikouin - An limited time exhibition that captures the beauty of autumn beyond just the typical red

Kyoto is home to some of the most beautiful autumn scenery in Japan. And out of all the autumn viewing spots, Rurikouin 「瑠璃光院」, wins by far.

「春」　―　桜の開花、世界中から注目する、日本の誇り季節。私も毎年その花が絵描いたような柔らかく繊細な風景を楽しみにしている。しかし、景色を赤く染める秋の紅葉の方が私にとって魅惑であり、心を惹かれる。そして、紅葉の名所のなかでも「瑠璃光院」が間違いなく最も素晴らしい場所だ。

私は南禅寺の敷地をもっと探検してみたたところで、予想外のものを見つけた。それは秋の色落ちで覆われたほとんど見えない道だった。そして、その道は忘れられない物語へ導いた。

As I explored Nanzenji, I found a mountain path hidden by autumn colours. This path would then lead me towards a story I will not forget.

水路閣:　かつて鮮やかだった水路の古い煉瓦は、繁栄した苔に色を吸収されてしまった。木々が密集していたため、周囲は不気味な青の色合いをしたが、紅葉の燃えるような赤が代わりに日光の役割を果たしていた。
